A
little state full of contrasts, fruit of the enterprising
spirit of its people, who have managed to turn it into
one of the most modern countries in the south of Europe,
prosperous, dynamic and clearly cosmopolitan, open to
Europe and the rest of the world. Andorra finds its
main identity in the contrast between tradition and
modernity, between the popular spirit deep-rooted in
ancient rural societies and business dynamism. Today
it is no longer a country with an agriculture-based
economy, and has turned firmly to the service sector,
with tourism as its main activity. .
