La Massana is located in the north-west of the Principality and boasts sweeping woods such as those of Pal, Jou and Padern. The Pal and Arinsal ski resorts are in these areas. The villages in the parish are Pal, Arinsal, Anyós, Erts, Sispony, l'Aldosa, la Massana and Escàs. Comapedrosa, at 2,942 metres, Andorra's highest peak, stands in the parish of La Massana, which is also home to many lakes, such as L'Estany de les Truites, L'Estany Negre and Els Estanys Forcats.
